I was speechless, bit nervous and highly tensed watching the holy
Niladrivije of Lord Shri Balabhadra, Maa Subhadra and Shri Jagannath
yesterday when some senseless servitors were breaking law and letting
the unknown persons climb the chariots to touch the deities on chariot
against the Hi court law that was on status quo, obstructing the Pahandi
(a step that represents the way in which the gods move) of Lord Shri
Sudarshan, manhandling with media persons and scolding and misbehaving
the most powerful, duty abide and admirable magistrate cum Collector
Shri Arvind Agarwal before the deities was very very disappointing,
embarrassing and highly condemnable situation for all Shri Jagannath
Lovey Devotees. I appreciate the media persons who raised their voices
against the the threatening and disruptions to delay the Pahandi of
deities and were manhandled by the servitors. I strongly believed it was
their strong protest that made the Pahandi to happen in well and
disciplined way though it was becoming huge late. What was necessary to
make the festival with such great extent an uglier rather a peaceful and
huge success. I condemn their (servitors) ill wisdom and endanger
threatening and misbehaving nature that disrupts the worshiping of
deities and degrades the Shrimadir Tradition in a regular manner.
Regardless of their (servitors) experience, knowledge and teaching
gained over the years with their deep involvement to such maverick
tradition its time for them to show restraint and discipline.
Nevertheless of all these wrong doings, we the people who loves Shri
Jagannath so much can't tolerate their such bad attitude though we
respect them the way we love our Jaga.
People started believing the time is approaching for the end of the maladministration, bad governance, misrule and incompetent govt that ruined a state having rich cultural heritage, rich mineral and natural resources. Don't want to say about the law and order situation, education, health and connectivity systems across the rural sector and specific to villages in tribal area a matter of grave concern.
AT least 19 children of Nagad village of Jajapur district have died of malnutrition in the last 1 month all in the age group of 0 to 5 yrs old.
Recently six innocent tribal people were killed by security personnel in the name of Maoist/Naxalites in Kandhmal district and most surprisingly a 2 yrs little boy was gun down. You can't imagine the barbaric killing of such innocent people by our own police force. The village where such horrific situation happened is highly under developed area in India. There is no road where a four wheeler vehicle can go easily, forget about the ambulance, fire truck or any other emergency vehicle movement to that area. Still the govt claims the people centric development they do. We wish the govt could do much more for public welfare despite of such challenges.
As always you are welcome to correct the mistake and comment.
